In Step 3 of the D3 process, you take the information gained in Step 1 by identifying story elements and narrative components and Step 2 by interpreting symbolism and analyzing the story.
Step 3 is when the interpretation comes together by connecting the dream’s details in context and reflecting on your life. In this step you will learn how everything in a dream interconnects symbolically and as part of the story, and how it connects with you, the dreamer.
Step 3 offers three primary tools:

An ongoing process
Dream interpretation is an ongoing process as you find resolution and apply what you learn from your dreams. The meaning and significance of your dreams unfold over time and you gain the perspective to fully understand them. The end of the D3 interpretation process is NOT the end.
Step 3 is where you live your dreams by making them part of your daily life. The time and attention you give builds a relationship of trust and mutual understanding with your dreaming mind, and it will reward you with richer dreams and more insights into that part of your life.
Dreaming truly is an experience unto itself. It’s like living another life or many lives simultaneously.
Part of the ongoing process is to work with your dreams in creative ways. Below is an excerpt from my first book on dream work:
